Uganda Outreach June

UGANDA JUNE/JULY

By the Grace of God, the healing of our Lord Jesus Christ, the hope of things to come and the obedience of Fergus, we set off to Kampala on the 6th June.

On returning from Kenya, Fergus had not been well and finally after 2 months it was diagnosed as Yellow Fever. Two weeks prior to our departure he was not sure whether he would be fit enough to go. With prayer he was healed!! Praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness.

I had the privilege of spending the first 10 days with Bs. David Mainde, who organised this outreach, and what an awesome time I had, seeing the country for the first time, meeting with those who had previously worked with MMI and sharing in the ministry that was taking place.

Through the highways and byways, churches, schools and home groups, we traveled preaching the word and sharing the goodness of the Lord's grace as we step out in faith and obedience to follow His way. We had ups and downs with logistics but we always managed to reach our destination with the Lord protecting us as it is definitely not the safest way to travel through downtown Kampala on the back of a motorbike taxi.

After I left, Fergus & David carried on out in the countryside many hours away where, as I said with the Lord's protection, reaching destinations safely. They were travelling on one of the motorbike taxis when it rolled, throwing the driver and David one way and Fergus the other, down a bank into the river. Fergus was pulled out of the river by David, no one was injured other than sore backs and a few bruises and the work carried on.

Much power and movement of the Holy Spirit has been seen. People giving their lives to the Lord for the first time, recommitments, repentance and restoration taking place. New home groups have been started too - Acts 5:42. The Pastor's Conference having a great impact on the pastors with feedback still coming in.

Unfortunately we will have to wait for details until Fergus gets back as the WiFi does not stay up long enough for full reports.

They are both still continuing in the work set out before them having another 2 weeks to go. Until then please keep them in your prayers.

Much love & blessings

Jo
