Fwd: Zim / South Africa Outreach

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace,  mercy,  and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have finally settled in to our new home in Wimbledon and slowly finding our feet. I now have the time to sit down and share about the wonderful things that have happened in our ministry to Zimbabwe and South Africa.

The team left from SA on the 3rd August for an 8 day outreach to Zimbabwe. The Lord really blessed us with a wonderful team for the trip, Les, Eric, Arthur, Jo and myself.  We started in West Nicholson and had a great meeting in an old Baptist Church hosted by Ps Elias, as late as the service was we had a great turnout. We were blessed with awesome accommodation in a game camp owned by Les Bushney's cousin Basil.

The next day we moved on to Bulawayo for our meeting which was set up in the Coronation cottages organised by Ron and Elsa. We met another amazing couple who hosted the whole team 'Hotdog' and 'Poops'. The hall was full as the folk came expectant to hear the good news and see the Lords hand in healing the sick. Well nobody was disappointed as the lame walked, ears were opened and sickness fell away.

We then moved on to Chinhoyi to meet up with Bishop Michael Chiviru to do some rural ministry and address a Pastor's conference.  As we passed through Gadoma we stopped to greet the Du Preez family and were blessed with tea and toasted sandwiches . The Du Preez family are having a great impact in the area in their ministry,  they are a great inspiration.

Once again we were hosted by that wonderful family Mark and Wendy Shaw. The two outreaches we had in the rural areas with Bishop Michael were amazing.  Many came to the Lord Jesus!  Those that came forward for healing weren't disappointed.

The 30+ Pastors that attended the conference were touched by the Word the Lord gave me - 2 Timothy 4:1-5 and asked me to lay hands on them for a greater anointing to preach the Word with a greater boldness and authority. We ended the conference with a wonderful lunch put by Bishop Michael's wife,  Gloria.

The community of Chinohyi organised a healing meeting in the local NG hall and what a good turnout. The Holy Spirit really moved and many were touched by His Holy righteous hand.

We, as a team, were really blessed by Les supplying his brand new VW combi and making the trip by his generous financial input.

We got back from Zimbabwe on the 11th August and was asked to minister at Bethal Church on the Sunday morning.  What a joyous time we had and a chance to meet up with some old friends. Thanks to Paul Wagstaff and his team for making us so welcome.

The meetings for the Soweto crusades started on Thursday 16th August.  I really want to take this opportunity of thanking Pastor Jerome Ford and his team for the fantastic organisation that went into making these meetings the huge success it turned out to be.  We give all the praise and Glory to the Lord Jesus for what happened over the 3 days.  A special thanks to my dear Brother and Sister in Christ Johan and Aletta Theron for bringing up the 7 ton truck 'the Bright and Morning Star' to preach off all the way from Murraysburg, Karoo.

The scripture the Lord gave me for the 3 meetings in Soweto was very apt - Matthew 11:28, Christ The Healer and what great healings occurred!  The turnout in Riverlea was really good as the weather turned out to be very cold but despite that the folk came. We witnessed salvations, healings too numerous to mention - people being released from substance abuse , marriages restored and many bending the knee and repenting. The need for the Gospel in this day and age is so badly needed and I thank the Lord for all those men and women who are prepared to go out and preach the good news.

All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the Faith.  Grace be with you all. Amen.

Yours in Christ Fergus & Jo
