Australian Ministry Tour 2017

AUGUST 2017
Australian Newsletter

Greetings to all our Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am now back in London after a wonderful time of ministry in Eastern Australia.  The two months that I was away seemed to fly by.  I am very pleased to say that I have gotten over that dreadful jet lag. It was a 24 hour flight with a time zone difference of 10 hours.

It was truly a blessing to once again minister with Carl - it has been 18 months since we last ministered together.

Carl's farm is situated near a small town called Gloucester in the Hunter valley region of NSW.  We started off with Carl inviting Church leaders of the various denominations to attend a coffee meeting so that we could share what we wanted to do in the region. This was very well received with invitations to minister in most of the local Churches forthcoming. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully as the word was brought and shared in each of the meetings.  The people were encouraged and challenged.  The Holy Spirit brought a renewed enthusiasm to return to their first love and serve the Lord in everything and in all aspects of their lives.

We then booked the local town hall for a Healing meeting. It was wonderful to see the hall full as Carl ministered with song in praise and worship - what an amazing talent he has.  After I shared my testimony of being healed of cancer, many were encouraged to stand and recommit their lives to the Lord in all aspects of their lives.  We prayed for the sick and the hurting, trusting for the miracles to manifest as they took hold of the belief that through Christ all things are possible – Matthew 19:26

We then flew up to the Gold Coast for 10 days of ministry. We were hosted by South African families and were spoilt rotten by their hospitality and friendship.  I had several offers to have a round of golf but wisely declined as I have not touched a club this year and by the glint in their eye they wanted to sort this old Pro out.

Our meetings were held in churches, halls, at breakfasts and cell groups. We had two amazing cell group meetings.  The first was over 35 folk and the second over 45 this was fantastic as the usual weekly group was between 10 and 15 people. This is about the average size of Churches in Australia so we were very excited at the response.  Out of these two meetings 16 teenagers gave their lives to the Lord and we baptized 6 people.  We then moved on to the Salvation Army Hall where the Holy Spirit moved powerfully to two packed meetings.  Folk got saved, deaf ears opened, people delivered from spirits and folk forgave people that had caused them hurt. The word says that anyone who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God - Luke 9:62 so as they forgave they received peace and joy back in their lives and could move forward with freedom and a renewed Spirit.

I spent another week back on the farm with Carl, Diane and the girls getting ready for the journey home.  The ministry, however, was not over as some young folk drove down from Newcastle to be prayed over for a greater infilling of the Holy Spirit, boldness, authority and in particular the gift of healing according to 1Cor 12.  I was most impressed by their determination to see me, they came by pure Faith which the Lord just loves - Heb 11:6.

We had so many awesome things happen as we ministered up the East Coast too numerous to tell but one fantastic testimony I will finish on is this.   After ministering one Sunday in the Hunter Valley a couple phoned the house early on Monday morning and asked if they could come around for prayer. This dear sister had been molested as a young girl by a youth Pastor whose brother was the senior Pastor of the Church. The incident was hushed up and the youth Pastor was assigned to another Church.  The parents even went to a senior church in Sydney and they received the same answer – don’t say anything it would hurt the Church. This dear sister carried this burden of shame and guilt for over 40 years until we came together in Carl’s farmhouse and prayed for her to be released.  She forgave the Pastor and the Lord Jesus set her free so much so that the next Sunday in her Church she stood up and testified in front of the congregation what had happened to her.  Brave lady, she has been truly set free - John 8:36.

It was a wonderful time where the Lord worked powerfully.  We had some very sad moments, some extremely joyful but through all this the Lord was glorified and His name lifted High.,

Well as I always say, you’re are only as good as your last sermon so now I will be busy preparing for the 5-week tour of ministry of South Africa during the month of September - October. But for the next few days, I am having a good rest and spending time with my darling Joanne as I truly missed her during the last two months.

But before I say goodbye I would like to just thank Carl, Diane, Bella & Simone for being the gracious hosts they were and in taking such good care of me.  Also to the family for releasing Carl to travel and minister with me, I know the sacrifice of being apart.

The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.

Your servants in Christ,

Fergus and Jo.
